Ignoreing EDID and using nv's supported settings gets rid of the vertical lines on the right, but produces two squashed images (1600x600 and repeated at the lower half with 1600x600).
Try this "Monitor" section and tell me if that helps any:
Section "Monitor"
    Identifier "Dell 8200"
    VendorName "Dell"
    ModelName "1600x1200"
    DisplaySize 300 230
    Option "dpms"
    HorizSync 75.00-76.00
    Modeline "1600x1200" 162.00 1600 1664 1856 2160 1200 1201 1204 1250
Be sure to change the "Identifier" to whatever you're using as a monitor identifier in your "Screen" section, as well.
