Duh... being an idiot is so much fun; That's why I do it all the time...

I tried, just for the sake of it to run in noapic mode.
As I said, last time I tried it (FC2, 2.6.5) the SCSI performance went to hell (~5MB/sec)
Tried doing it again, fully ready to reboot my machine the second it starts acting up.... but... surprise... clean boot!
