Default For the love of somebody... Help!

<----------------MyComputer---------------->
1) AMD 1800XP
2) GIGABYTE GA-7VRXP
3) 256 MB Ram
4) G4 Ti4600

<------------/proc/version,cc-v------------>

Debian 3.0 (Woody) 2.2.20, 2.7.2.3.

<--------------MYPROBLEM------------------->
X wont start

I down loaded the 4191 drivers in the tar.gz format and followed the instructions. Everthing went well until I gave the make install command inside the NVIDIA-kernelXXXX directory and then this error came up.

"NVIDIA kernel module with a compiler different from the one that was used to compile the running kernel.

If you know what you're doing and want to override this check, you can do so by setting the IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH

***FAILED CC sanity check. Bailing out!***"

So I went ahead and fixed that with
export IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH=1

I gave the make install command
one more time and then I got this
"Wno-cast-qual nv.o
In file included form nv.c:14:
nv-linux.h:24: linux /modversions.h:
No such file or Directory
make: ***[env.0] Error 1"

I know the nv-linux.h has something to do with headers but I'm not sure what that is. Can anyone tell me what I need to do?
THANKS.
