funny how this works out.
theoretically prices should rise when there is only one product in the market as there is no competition to make them drop. (and that the maker can charge any price he likes, a mock monopoly if you will)
but with the 7800's they have done nothing but drop down in price, even with no competition. great performance and quality, great price at under msrp on launch day, and easily available on launch day--aka hard launched. not to mention the previous generations are dropping in price like mad also.
this is nothing but good for the consumer.
