I have the same problem. I also have a G4-440MX Siluro card from ABIT, When I installed rh73 default for x was G2 Generic. I manually changed this before the installation was completed to a g4 generic. When rh was rebooted, after login, it was flickerin like crazy. Since I was a newb, I didn't know how to get this to non gui mode to edit my XFCONFIG-4 file. I know how to get it to level three by changing the inittab, but this time I couldn't access since this was a fresh install of rh. Anyways, I just said screw it, and reformatted and reinstalled rh33, this time I stuck with the default G2 generic, rebooted, logged in fine, x started fine, updated drivers, and all is fine, accept for the fact I still have the G2 Generic still showing in the XFCONFIG-4 file, does this matter? The references to G2 are just for identifying correct? I'm not sure what to replace the lines with or if even matters, my graphics are still bad ass. Attached is a copy of XFCONFIG-4 and also a copy and paste for quick reference.
