Laser gaming mice suck (firsthand report).
Bought a Logitech G5. Returning it tomorrow.
The hardware has a built-in negative acceleration and there seems to be no way to get rid of it. Negative acceleration is when the mouse cursor travels more when you move it slower, as opposed to faster but by the same amount. This is simply unacceptable, as it gives a huge inconsistency in aim.
After reading some forums, it seems like it's a general hardware flaw of laser mice with high report rates (500+Hz), which also plagues the Copperhead.
Back to mx518 for me.
Avoid at all costs.
