yeah, this is common problem with some ground/floor textures (Q4 maps are very "noisy") and normal offset mapping (ultra or high). Don't worry - coming "Uber" offset mapping will fix this problem
lol Actually I thought that this is a feature since this actually improved the default textures (at least some of them). It reminded me of a fractal algorithm where you bascially have the same details no matter how close you zoom into the texture.
