1.0-7676 causes kernel panic
On a Dell Precision 470 and a 280NVS card, the presence of the NVIDIA driver causes a kernel panic on boot. Removing the driver allows the system to boot. Any ideas why this would be? I have asked Sun the same question and while they're investigating this on their end, they recommended that I ask the NVIDIA developers as well.
This doesn't happen on Dell OptiPlex GX280, GX620 or other Pentium 4 based systems. This has only been observed with the Precision 470. This is mostly an FYI at this point as I can work around this issue by not using NVIDIA cards, but I presume the developers might want to know about this.
