Aloha,
Ok I tried to reinstall. I logged in as root, did a
setenforce 0. This is after I put the noapic and acpi=off
in my grub.cong and changed the default runlevel to 3 in the
inittab and rebooted. Did the sh NVIDIA-Linux... and it
installed and compiled a custom kernel module. After that I
verified that load "glx" and driver "nvidia" were in the
xorg.conf. Did startx as root. The HDD did some work and
then my monitor goes into power saving mode. Green light goes
to a blinking yellow light. Did CTRL-ALT-F1 and then Ctrl-C
to kill x and did nvidia-bug-report.sh and attached.
