I'm glad I saw this thread !
I am looking for a new motherboard and graphics card & have the same problem as many of you - I can't get agpgart working with my nForce motherboard.
My solution is to ensure that I buy a compatible motherboard chipset next time - not nForce - because then you have a CHOICE of graphics cards - nVidia or ATI.
