Default Buggy driver?

Hello,
I've downloaded an GLSL example from http://developer.3dlabs.com/download...ples/index.htm . The brick example worked fine, but the particle example did not. When I executed the compiled binary of the particle example I got the following output:
Quote:
GL_VERSION major=2 minor=0
Shader InfoLog:

Shader InfoLog:

Program InfoLog:
Vertex info
-----------
error: the locations of a builtin vertex attribute (named gl_Color) and a bound
generic vertex attribute (named Velocity) collided; assign the generic attribute
to a different location via glBindAttribLocationARB

No such uniform named "Time"
glError 0x502 file shader.c @ 57: invalid operation
glError 0x502 file ogl2particle.c @ 201: invalid operation
No such uniform named "Time"
glError 0x502 file shader.c @ 57: invalid operation
glError 0x502 file ogl2particle.c @ 201: invalid operation

Some info about my pc and software:
GPU: Geforce FX 5600 XT
Driver version: 1.0-8187
OS: GNU/Linux Slackware 10.2
Kernel: 2.6.13

This is the first time I've come in contact with a real GLSL example, but what I've read from my GLSL book and looking at the output, I would almost think that it's not the code itself that is causing the problem, but rather the driver.
If that's true, I hope y'all will fix this very fast.
Thanx in advance,
Hylke
