Default RHEL4, 7800GTX, SLI (only one GPU detected)

I am trying to enable SLI on a RHEL4, AMD64 machine. Following the guidelines in the readme file, it appears that there are no issues.

[root@dgregorylx log]# /sbin/lspci |grep -i VGA
pcilib: Resource 0 in /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:81:00.0/resource has a 64-bit address, ignoring
pcilib: Resource 1 in /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:81:00.0/resource has a 64-bit address, ignoring
pcilib: Resource 3 in /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:81:00.0/resource has a 64-bit address, ignoring
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 7800 GTX (rev a1)
81:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 7800 GTX (rev a1)

Looks like two video cards detected.

They are both connected to memory busses i believe.

However, when i start X with SLI="ON", i get the following error in Xorg.0.log

(**) NVIDIA(0): Option "SLI" "on"
(**) NVIDIA(0): NVIDIA SLI enabled; using auto-selected rendering method.
(WW) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize SLI! Reason: Only one GPU detected.

Is there anything specific I may be doing wrong or a step I may have left out?
