One more "Unable to load the kernel module" ERROR
since I'm not the greatest Linux insider in the world, I don't know how to continue my attempt to install the NVIDIA driver on my laptop (ATI RADEON IGP 320 M) under SUSE Linux 10.0.
Motivation to attempt this: I want to get dual head up and running.
In runlevel 3, I started
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7182-pkg1.run -q
as instructed by the readme. The module compilation took a few seconds and produced a fair amount of text output in the log file (like make always does :-) ).
Unfortunately, the module then could not be loaded.
Probably better than further elaborating, I attach the log file. The kernel message
"serial8250: too much work for irq11"
is nothing new - it's supposedly the cause why I need acpi=noirq for my system to work properly.
Note: The /usr/src/linux link seems to be pointing at the right directory.
I hope you guys can help me out - I have no idea how to tackle the problem.
