Default Geforce 7300LE on FC5

Hi,
I'm a new linux user . Inorder to run an image analysis software on FC5 x86_64 , i need to install the correct graphic drivers. I tried to install the NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-8762-pkg2-custom.run package . initially i got some errors which i corrected for by installing the appropriate packages. However i'm stuck at this one error :
-> Kernel module compilation complete.
ERROR: Unable to load the kernel module 'nvidia.ko'. This happens most
frequently when this kernel module was built against the wrong or
improperly configured kernel sources, with a version of gcc that differs
from the one used to build the target kernel, or if a driver such as
rivafb/nvidiafb is present and prevents the NVIDIA kernel module from
obtaining ownership of the NVIDIA graphics device(s).

Please see the log entries 'Kernel module load error' and 'Kernel
messages' at the end of the file '/var/log/nvidia-installer.log' for
more information.
I'm not an IT person as such ..so i dont understand the error. Can someone please explain what i need to do to install this driver.
Thanks
cheers,
Vish
