Default Re: 7950GX2 Linux support

Hello, I am doing some experimentation with two 7950GX2 cards, driver version 8774, Fedora Core 5, and ideally would like to devote each of the 4 gpus to their own screen or DVI output (No SLI).

It seems that only one GPU is being used per card for DVI output.

The PCI addresses assigned by the motherboard / OS are 3.0.0, 4.0.0, 14.0.0, and 15.0.0 with 3.0.0 and 4.0.0 on one card and 14.0.0 and 15.0.0 on the second card.

PCI 4.0.0 is recognized by the NVIDIA driver as the main gpu on the first card and has the two DVI ports assigned to it. With the second card the main is PCI 15.0.0.

The second gpu on each card does not seem to have any DVI ports assigned to it, which makes sense as there are only two DVI ports on each card.

Internally, the driver does assign a screen and device to the second gpu and the X log indicates that there is output to that screen on the second gpu. Unfortunately since there is not a physical DVI port for the second gpu to use, we see no output to the monitor from that second gpu.

Physically it may not be possible. Is there any way through gpu programming to utilize and devote each gpu to a screen or DVI port?

Thanks
