Hi. I recently bought a compaq v6000z which has the 430 Go nforce series chipset. In ubuntu as well as fedora core 5 (x86-64 releases) the audio device does not work properly. It is detected (listed and MCP51 HDA), but I get no sound, and an erorr in when trying to play back sound (cannot open device).

After a long amount of searching, I haven't run into any answers, so I'm posting here. I've already run across the 6150 Go problem (using the xorg "nv" driver will enable true widescreen support until the 9xx driver release for those interested). Any help on this would be appreciated.
