go check out viahardware to see that your kt7a is compatable with the xp1900 since they are only compatable in the revision 3 boards. there is an excellent faq for the kt7 boards over there. i'm stuck with a first revision so my limit is a 1.4 chip but i am sitting at 1.33 right now and see no probs with it

Abit KT7A
768Mb SDRAM
Geforce 3 Ti200 OC 230 / 460

Its just a stop gap measure until I can get my hands on a Hammer CPU

Any input greatly appreciated,

I think you're fine for now with what you've got. Save up and REALLY SPLURGE when hammer comes out.
