with new beta driver i have a black screen when starting xorg 7.1 on my notebook without external monitor connected. I can switch to console and the system is working.
if i connect external monitor all works if i use 8762 all works with module parameters NVreg_SoftEDIDs=0 NVreg_Mobile=4 else system freeze notebook: Toshiba Satellite 2401 - 401 graphics card: Nvidia GeForce 420 Go 32 Mb thanks in advance and excuse for my engrish |

It looks like the problem here is that a phantom CRT is being detected even when one isn't present. If you set UseDisplayDevice to DFP in xorg.conf, does that work around the problem?
Also, have you verified that you're using the latest BIOS for your notebook? Thanks, Lonni |

for the bios I can't find a new version from toshiba site the latest is 1.50 realeased 01/30/05 |
