I'm using the 1.0-9625 driver with a FX 5700 and have AIGLX enabled.
If I apply the "TripleBuffer" option to add a third buffer for double-buffered GL rendering, the X server segfaults upon starting beryl. I don't have a useful backtrace right now (the only stack frame it sees is the signal handler). When the option is disabled, X works fine. I have not yet checked whether this is specific to compiz or affects GL applications in general later (compiz was the only application I attempted to use when the option was enabled), but GL programs in general worked with the option enabled in 1.0-8774 and previous drivers. I'm attaching the nvidia-bug-report.log for this system (note: TripleBuffer is disabled in the log as I just produced it in my currently working X session, also there's an old XFree86 log that's also in there). |
