Question Crash when suspend with tv-out cable connected

I have a problem when I try to suspend the computer with the tv-out cable connected. X appears to exit normally and the screen goes blank but then the computer freezes and there is no access via Telnet/SSH. The only way out is to cut the power and reboot. If I unplug the tv-out cable then suspend works fine.

The problem happens with suspend to ram or disk. However shutdown works fine, and I am also able to exit X with CTRL-ALT-F1 etc with no problems. The problem happens with both the SVIDEO and Composite cables.

I have tried combinations of driver 8762, 8774 and 9625, kernal 2.6.15 (stock ubuntu dapper) and 2.6.18. The problem is always the same.

If I use the nv or vesa driver suspend works fine so it seems to be a problem with the nvidia driver.

Graphics card is 6150 built into MSI K8NGM2-FID with latest Bios (3.5).

Can anyone help?
