Unstable on fedora with GeForce FX 5700 Ultra
First I'd like to thank you for producing good support for Linux.
I'm an engineer and this is my works machine.
I sometimes get a full screen pattern with requires a reboot to cure.
More recently I just get spurious X crashed.
I have no idea why, since it seems inconsistent.
Tried the unusual stuff.
I have ungraded my kernel several times and all the software.
The nvidia drivers also.
I even suspect the hardware so got the case off and a good vacuum and servisol generally everywhere.
This has been going on since I think build 7676 on kernel 2.6.12 (FC4) or summat.
It (the crash problem) has survived a full machine rebuild.
It will crash several times a day now.
The crash used to just blank the screen (a kid of whiteout) and top out the Xserver (logged in remote since the machine will not display anything until rebooted).
Since I enabled composite and later used XGL it just brings down the X server and I can restart that without having to reboot.
I operate mainly in twinview, but the problem was there before.
I also have a Dell laptop with a Gefore Go card and similar setup but never seen this problem.
I will attach all logs and some select dumps which may be useful.
Hope you can shed some light.
Happy to work with you for a solution.

If this problem reproduces with the 1.0-9625 driver, please generate and attach an nvidia-bug-report.log.
