Okay now I managed to create the bug report in the right time.
Now the problem was present with Nvagp "1" also!
I was running that mode when it happened and that is in the bug report and also this gave me a lower fps to.
last time it didn't give me a problem but the I had added agp=off in the /boot/grub/menu.lst to.

Added nvagp "2" report for your refernace.
nvagp "2" gave me around 90fps whilst nvagp "1" gave me around 50-60fps.

Here's the reason why setting NvAGP to 1 isn't improving performance:

AGP initialization failed, please check the ouput
of the 'dmesg' command and/or your system log file
for additional information on this problem.
NVRM: not using NVAGP, an AGPGART backend is loaded!

Your kernel has the agpgart module loaded in the bug report.

Everything that you've posted thus far points to an AGP driver bug. It might be a worthwhile test to build your own 2.6.17.x kernel.org kernel and see if that works any better. Also verify that you're using the latest motherboard BIOS.

Thanks,
Lonni

Okay, thanks for the help this far.
Yes I am using the latest bios for my mobo. (Checked yesterday)
Is using the agpgart module a bad thing?
What am I supposed to search for in the dmesg?

Found this:
[17179582.904000] NVRM: loading NVIDIA Linux x86 Kernel Module 1.0-8774 Tue Au g 1 20:54:08 PDT 2006
[17179583.540000] lp: driver loaded but no devices found
in the dmesg.

The dmesg that you just posted didn't have the warning, however your bug report did. The dmesg that you just posted did include a message about agpgart being loaded though, and that will always prevent NVAGP (NvAGP=1) from working.

Should be noted that the dmesg wasen't generated with verbose -5 -logverbose 5 nor was the bug present at the time dmesg was generated.

So the best shot for me now would be to dl the newest kernel and build it?

The best shot at potentially fixing the kernel AGP driver bug would be a newer kernel. Or building a kernel without any AGP support so that NvAGP could be set to 1.

But if I build a kernel without agp support won't that affect performance or is NvAGP "1" just as good as kernel agp?
I've read some stuff about agp fixes in 2.6.18.X so maybe i should wait for it...

Okay, I'm going nuts here... First i tried to build a new kernel well that worked but to build the drivers i needed the kernel headers wich i couldn't get ahold of... so i took a pause from linux and when i came back the Ubuntu crew had released a new kernel so i installed it and the drivers worked and playing without using the NvAGP command worked flawlessly for 2 days!
Well nothing lasts forever... Today True Combat: Elite 0.49 was released and i updated it and ran it... afted 1 and minute the artifacts was back...

What should i do?!

(All games work flawlessly in windows)

I've found out something!
This might help a bit
The graphical problems described earlier in the thread does only appear when i run linux native games in fullscreen mode!
An even odder thing is that if i first run a game in windowed mode and then switch to fullscreen mode the problems doesn't appear either!

So now i'm wondering does this problem lie in the drivers or in my system?
