Default BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length error)

Hello... Has anyone gotten this error message before? :

X Error of failed request: BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length error)
Major opcode of failed request: 145 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 28 ()
Serial number of failed request: 36786
Current serial number in output stream: 36787

I'm on a Clevo Laptop running an AMD_64 chip, Fedora Core 5, Quadro 2500M video, and using 8774 drivers....

I've noticed also on booting linux, I get this error message too, which I think is referring to my video card....

PCI: Failed to allocate mem resource #6:20000@d0000000 for 0000:02:00.0
PCI: Bridge: 0000:00:02.0

Attached is my Nvidia bug report.

thanks in advance!

The "Failed to allocate mem resource" is likely a BIOS bug. You should verify that you're using the latest BIOS & kernel.

What triggers the BadLength error, and does it reproduce with the 1.0-9626 driver?

Thanks,
Lonni

I'll look into the Bios thing....
I'm running 2.6.17-1.2187_FC5, which I think is the latest Kernel.

I get the error when I run a proprietary 3D application... Havent tried the 9626 Driver, is it an official release, or is it Beta?

THanks!

That error is only present when running a single application? Which application?

So far its only this one application... Its a proprietary 3D program... 3D modelling and stuff.

The 9626 Drivers are Beta I'm guessing? I read that they handle 'Quadro Plex' cards better now... Not familiar with Quadro Plex... does the Quadro 2500M fall under that category?

Yes, 1.0-9626 is beta, however it supports all released graphics cards.

If this problem is only present with your application, then I'll need this application to investigate further (assuming that the newer driver doesn't help).

Thanks,
Lonni

You suggest the 9626 driver vs. the 9625?

Where in the Nvidia site is the 9626? I only see the 9625 on the Beta page.....
