Default GeForce4 Ti4200 128MB+Drivers

I've just installed Ubuntu on my desktop. I want to install the graphics card's drivers. I download them from NVidia website, but when i try to install, it says:
Can't open NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8776-pkg1.run
Do I need to do something else?(U c, I'm new to linux...).
Please Help!

To execute the driver installer you should type the following in a console:
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8776-pkg1.run

This should be run when X isn't loaded. I would search on google for a small Nvidia + Ubuntu howto, that will be the easiest thing for you.
