Compiz, FC6, GeForce 3 Ti500, 1.0-9625

As topic, with Compiz, Fedora Core 6, GeForce 3 Ti500, 1.0-9625
I'm trying to run Compiz under KDE with this command:
"compiz --replace gconf &
gnome-window-decorator &"

After this command I've got this error:
"gnome-window-decorator & compiz: water: GL_ARB_fragment_program is missing".

anyway compiz seem to run well except for this:


How can I solve this problem? Please help.

I run Konqueror without decorations, so that looks normal to me (apart from the menu bar) ;-)

Run:

#> qtconfig

see what that says.

What is this error?

Compiz most likely uses pixel shaders (GL_ARB_fragment_program) for some 3d effects. This extension isn't supported on your geforce3, it requires a geforcefx or better.

It seems that on my cards works well all the possible effects except for acqua effects.
Do you know some other effects that won't work on my card?

@sblantipodi, try running compiz using the following command:

killall kwin && compiz gconf decoration wobbly fade move resize place minimize cube rotate zoom scale switcher & gnome-window-decorator &

This should get you all the plugins that wirk perfectly with your graphic cardm and you shold also get the window decorations back :-)

ok, with this it works but this error is present,
compiz: water: GL_ARB_fragment_program is missing
this means that my GPU doesn't suppor this features,

The GL_ARB_fragment_program extension is supported only by FX5200 and newer, PS 2.0 capable GPUs. Just disable the water plugin if that annoys you.
