That would be a kernel/BIOS problem. Does booting with a different kernel and/or the noapic or acpi=off kernel parameters help?

I changed HiDef audio in BIOS from Auto to Enabled, now lspci says:

I see some Hi Definition Audio there, but now what do I do? Theres a program in "Administration" called Soundcard Detection but it doesnt seem to do anything (just says Starting... then closes)

Mug Realtek released a new driver for us i go to test it now
don't give up to use linux
We have too many think to learn in here

I have the same problem with AM2NF6G-VSTA ASROCK Motherboard, I found an Audio driver on
http://www.touslesdrivers.com/index....3&v_code=13846
The driver is ALC888 Audio Codec
But I don't know if work.

Try it.
