I've just installed Ubuntu on my desktop. I want to install the graphics card's drivers. I download them from NVidia website, but when i try to install, it says:
Can't open NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8776-pkg1.run Do I need to do something else? |

without wanting to get too RTFM with you, you did type:
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9629-pkg1.run in root didnt't you? in Ubuntu you would need to preceed this with sudo. Hope this is not too insulting but you did say you just installed Ubuntu, so. |
