I am on 1.0.9629. Whenever a game or whatnot tries to start up and change the resolution, from my native 1440x900, my X.org crashes. Though, if I change it with say, nvidia-settings, it works fine. I have to reboot because it crashes so badly.
I didn't have this issue on 1.0.9626. If you need any relevant information, just ask, but remember, as soon as I launch the app I have to reboot. Code:
(II) NVIDIA(0): Setting mode "nvidia-auto-select" (II) NVIDIA(0): Setting mode "640x480" Backtrace: 0: X(xf86SigHandler+0x71) [0x47ff31] 1: /lib/libc.so.6 [0x2b4f4a7a6580] 2: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.so(_nv001261X+0x4d) [0x2b4f4bc361cd] Fatal server error: Caught signal 11. This is a known bug in 1.0-9629 (specific to mode changes when using a DFP) and will be resolved in a future driver release. The current workaround is to downgrade to 1.0-9626 or 1.0-8776.
Thanks, Lonni |
