Textures messed up sometimes
I run FC6 on Dell Inspiron 8200, and NVidia GeForce4 440 Go, with the 9629 driver edition from livna.
Since forever, i.e. far before FC6 etc, I have had an issue with the OpenGL rendering with the NVidia drivers that is somewhat unpleasant and occurs only sometimes.
Sometimes, the textures of the objects rendered in the OpenGL window change from being uniform colour (e.g. green) to a collection of flickering, colour-changing triangles. This lasts for some time, and is then substituted for a screen which does not flicker, but the entire OpenGL display is darker than nominal. Sometimes, this is followed by a screen lockup, where I can move the cursor normally, but the screen does not get updated nor do any of the displayed widgets in X respond.
Please see the attached image as an illustration of what I mean.
