Default 8XXX series on Linux.

I was wondering if all the features that the 8XXX series provide like physics and the unified shader will work in Linux? Or are those only for DX10? Vista...

Reason I ask is because I am getting an 8800GTS at the end of this month and want to make sure those features will work..

They probably do, but just want to make sure because Iv been reading around some forum and some people are saying those are DX10 only things...

To use physics acceleration you need some suitable game too. There is no such game for Linux ATM -> you won't miss anything.

So they will work on Linux? Good. UT2007 and Quake Wars are gonna use it. There pretty much gonna be the only games out soon that are gonna use it, lol. Just wanted to make sure those wernt DX10 only type things.

Excellent. Gaming on Linux just got better!
