but, nvidia-settings and nvclock are for graphics cards only? or for motherboards (nForce) too?

If you're using an AMD CPU, try K7MCTRL for overclocking
your CPU, changing voltages etc. The docs are in Japanese, but it's worked for me before: k7mctrl http://www.mars.dti.ne.jp/~daitei/k7mctrl/ Won't help if you're using an Intel, I guess. shplad
