I ran into this same problem trying to run 6400x2400 virtual resolution, 3840x2400 + 2560x1600 off my geforce 6600 GT AGP card. I am glad this limit is upped in the G80's which I will be upgrading as soon as the nforce 650i chipsets are avaliable.
