OK, I tried to install the Nvidia drivers, after leaving X...
First, it found no pre-compiled kernel, so it tried to download one... failed, so it made one... Then, it couldn't load it.... It said something about not taking ownership of the GPU... I can't load the logfile for some reason.... |

I already checked there.... It doesn't help much... the logfile isn't working... I think the installer is corrupting it.

You haven't really given anyone anything to go on in order to help you out.
What Linux distro/version are you using? What videocard? What motherboard? Have you checked that you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard? What method are you using to try to install the driver? Have you made sure you have the correct linux header files installed? Have you got gcc, etc, installed? Are you trying to install the drivers with X still running? If you want help, you really do need to give as much information as possible. Cambo |
