Default Missing walls/textures in Unreal Tournament with 8774

Still have the missing texture problem since 8178.

Start up UT and load up AS-Frigate. Stand on the back deck and look around - there are walls etc missing and you see through to the sky.

Ah ok I'm talking about UT 4.36 (the original UT) but if it's the same in UT2004 then it must be a bigger problem than I thought.

Now.. .with mentioned drivers, I don't have any problems at all either with UT nor UT2004
But...
I had this problem a time ago. What I did was updating UT with the lastest patch back then.

So try update your game could work. Not sure thou.

You look to have the well known broken "UseStencil=" option set to True, set it to False if you do.

(This is for UT2004 only)

As for UT, I don't have any problems.

This seems to be affecting older cards.

It is false by default. So it is not related to UseStencil option :/

Knowing what kind of card you have would help the developers. :P

Default Re: Missing walls/textures in Unreal Tournament with 8774

I also have a problem with Unreal Tournament and 8774 drivers, although it's not exactly an issue with missing textures:

The problem is the sky, and objects that are far away in the background. They actually get rendered on top of everything else, blocking your view. This is extremely annoying in the 'facing worlds' map, but similar (less extreme) glitches can be found in almost every other map.

This is on a GF4 Ti 4200, 8774 Linux drivers, Xorg 7.1. Happens in both Unreal (the single player game) and Unreal Tournament. Any clues?

EDIT: I just gave the 9xxx BETA driver a try; with it there is no error anymore. So I guess at least my problem will be resolved with the first stable 9xxx release. :-)

I get this too. I just upgraded to the 9631 drivers from some 8xxx series driver. I think it might have been 87xx, I don't remember. Ut2004 used to work, now I get that strange graphical corruption as well. I'm going to upgrade wine, and install it through wine and see if the issue goes away.

Nevermind. I installed the nvidia drivers while compiling a new version of X. I had opengl version library mismatches all over the place. That's fixed. I also deleted my ut2004.ini file and let it be recreated, now everything is back to normal.
