The only bug report I can think of when nothing is working is the first one I posted... which is when the system fails to load the nvidia module and I guess reverts to the nv drivers you mentioned.
Maybe a log of errors during boot? Where could I get that? |

If FC6 is changing xorg.conf to use the nv driver, then you should report that bug to FC. You haven't provided any information that suggests that the nvidia driver is doing anything wrong, or has a bug.

By the way...
I thought about your post and I don't think that xorg.conf is getting changed. When I reinstall the drivers after they stop working, TwinView loads up with my exact old settings and everything. Could there be another explanation? Forgive me for being a bit inexperienced with linux.. EDIT: got it working... the driver installation didn't really uninstall the old drivers like it said it did.. I had to do it manually. Everything works now. Last edited by tnunamak; 12-10-06 at 11:45 PM. |
