I just install from the CD and then install the latest update package from the internet. Thats what you're supposed to do.

Its also why I have an .iso of my x-fi driver CD ripped to my hard drive. Never again will I go through the "missing creative driver disk" bull sh**.

LOL I lost my Audigy 2 disc awhile back. I looked everywhere for it. In the end I got my Dad to burn a copy of his and mail it to me. My old DVD drive wouldn't read it, so I went to stick it in my CD burner... and found my Audigy 2 disc.

IMHO, Crystalizer is great if you don't turn it up too high. Keep it at like 20% or less and everything will sound slightly better. Any higher and percussion sounds too harsh.

Choose "Soundblaster X-Fi" and later in the installation it gives you a list of things you want to install.
