Unhappy 7600 GS not working on Debian etch

I bought a Leadtek Winfast A7600 GS AGP graphic card (GPU: 7600 GS).

But I just can't use X in any mode other than VESA ('nv' doesn't work either).

First I tried the Debian way according to NvidiaGraphicsDrivers debian wiki (with a prebuilt driver for kernel 2.6.18-3-686 and later with the module-assistant method. None of them worked).

Then I removed completely all nvidia-* packages and tried nvidia official installer (1.0-9631). But it didn't work.

But no matter the method I try (debian way or nvidia installer) when I restart X, the screen becomes black and the monitor light gets blinking as if it had no signal.

I attach the nvidia-bug-report.log

In your bug report, two CRTs are being detected, however the EDID for CRT-0 isn't being detected:
(WW) NVIDIA(GPU-0): Unable to read EDID for display device CRT-0

If you're not actually using two CRTs, does adding the following option to the Device section of xorg.conf help?
Option "UseDisplayDevice" "CRT-1"

Also, does this problem also exist in 1.0-9742 or 1.0-8776?

Thanks a lot, netllama.

The Option "UseDisplayDevice" "CRT-1" was the only thing I needed to add.

Now I can start X using 'nvidia' driver.

I think in 1.0-9742 or 1.0-8776 this line you suggested was what I was missing.

Once more, thanks a lot.
