Default uTorrent and 680i (not compatiable with nvappfilter.dll)

This is my first nvidia board, so forgive my ignorance.

When I go to the nvidia control panel and enter the network page, I don't see ANYTHING reguarding firewall settings. I'm behind a D-Link DGL 4300 (1.17 firmware) and have setup port fowarding for utorrent. I've been able to download a couple of torrents and uploading seems to be working.

However I am getting random freezes that SEEM to be associated with utorrent being active.

Can anyone help me out with this?

Thx

uTorrent likes to slow down internet connections on Windows XP without a patched TCPIP.sys

http://www.lvllord.de/

Try that and see if it does anything for ya.

I downloaded the file at that link, Banko, and McAfee threw up an error about it being a Tool-Evid program which seems to be a pretty nasty little thing.

Yeah this one gets a bunch of false positives, people at uTorrent recommend this and I've ran it and I have no problems.

Hmm...it just makes me a bit nervous.

And my router is crap. I have the stupid Linksys WRT54GS router with SpeedBooster and it's notorious for not closing connections, like, ever, so about once a month, I have to reset it to factory defaults because it gets so clogged I can't get online.

And it's a different revision that doesn't use Linux so I can't use any of those custom firmwares.

Well if you are worried about that you can also download the latest BitComet.

In the options you can change your half open connections limit from the default of 10 all the way up to 200.

You can also edit yourself with notepad as well, just find tcpip.sys
