Unhappy Can't get 1400x1050@60

I am running Ubuntu 6.10 with Geforce 5600 and the Nvidia drivers version 1.0-9746; the screen is a Westinghouse LCM-20v5 (native resolution 1400x1050). I am unable to get this resolution running at 60Hz it always running at 56Hz with causes issues with the screen. When I had the 'nv' drivers I can get it running at 70Hz but 60Hz drops the resolution to 1280x1024.

I have tried with and with out the following Modeline:
Code:
Section "Monitor"
    Identifier "LCM-20v5"
    Option "DPMS"
    ModeLine "1400x1050" 121.8 1400 1488 1632 1864 1050 1053 1057 1089
EndSection
I also have put in the following:
Code:
Option "TwinView" "True"
Option "MetaModes" "nvidia-auto-select, nvidia-auto-select"

Please start X with the following command:
startx -- -logverbose 6

and then generate and attach an nvidia-bug-report.log.

Thanks,
Lonni

According to the bug report, you're already running 1400x1050@60. Why do you believe that you're not?

When I goto the OSD menu for the monitor it says 1400x1050@56Hz while i am running 'nvidia'; also the screen wiggles. Now if I run 'nv' the OSD says 1400x1050@60 and I get a perfect picture.

Well I gave up and returned the 20.1 LCD, I'm back on my 17 LCD @ 1280x1024 work fine with the nvidia drivers... I think I will try a 1400x900 19 widescreen see if that will work.
