Default Nvidia drivers + Mandrake

I tried to install the nvidia drivers on my mandrake 9 comp and had some problems. I installed the drivers, and edited my XF86Config file but when I restarted, the screen started blinking towword the end of boot up and instead of taking me to KDE it took me to a command prompt. I checked the X file and it tells me that Screens were found but with no suitabable configurations.

Attach the full log file. The error you quoted, while being an error, isn't the root cause.

Send a message via ICQ to alien999999999

the problem is most likely your setting of the XF86Config file: the frequency ranges are most likely not entirely correct or the type of monitor is wrongly set.

you should attach the /etc/XF86Config-4 file here (you will have to rename it with a txt extension to attach it).
