Default Toshiba 2455, MDK 9.1, and geforce4 420

I am trying to figure out how to use my vga out function on my laptop in linux. I looked in the driver README file and it talks about a hotkey event that will allow the display to be sent to either the lcd or crt displays. I think saw that currently no toshibas can use the hotkey event to switch the display output.

Is there any way to send my video output to the crt besides rebooting and letting the bios detect a connected crt? If the hotkey sequence isn't working right now is there some thing that I can switch around in a enviromental setting or maybe /proc setting so that I can send my display to the crt?

If any one can help I would appreciate it.

Also I want to give a big thanks to the nvidia team. I really love your cards and I esspecially love the drivers that you all provide to the linux community and more esspecially me.

Thanks again,

James
