Default Rendering actifacts with shaped windows

Hi there,

Since some time I have problems with shaped windows, wether they are used as startup-animation or e.g. by mplayer.
I attached two screenshots one showing gmplayer and the other knotes where the pin should be simply transparent. Also XV does not work with mplayer.

Mplayer itself says at startup:
Code:
Xlib: extension "XFree86-VidModeExtension" missing on display ":0.0".
mplayer: could not connect to socket
mplayer: No such file or directory
Failed to open LIRC support. You will not be able to use your remote control.
[ws] Sorry, your system does not support the XShape extension.
Xlib: extension "XFree86-VidModeExtension" missing on display ":0.0".
Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thank you in advance, lg Clemens

Default Re: Rendering actifacts with shaped windows

Instaling the linva-rpms solved the problem, it seems like the installer did not install the extension-modules to the right place.
