If PureVideo is for Windows then what is for Linux?

Is it xgl, aiglx, opengl, xvmc? Or purevideo will never be implemented in linux?

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

At the moment there's no Purevideo support for Linux and Nvidia hasn't any plans to add it in the near future (they have stated that in various threads).

The closest thing to Purevideo is XvMC which offers decoding of mpeg1 and mpeg2. That's all there is.
