Hi,

I uploaded the log file again http://domn.net/files/upload/Xorg.0.2.log I noticed something (--) NVIDIA(0): Memory: 524288 kBytes but this video card has 128mb ?!?!? this is the manufacturer's page http://www.msi.com.tw/program/produc...il.php?UID=770 on the box http://domn.net/img/upload/videocardbox.jpg you can see that it says it has 128mb on board , but "Up to 512mb" ?!?! this is very weird, it's not like it has expansion slots ! maybe it's using system memory .. but then free says all the ram is accounted for glitch ~ # free total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 904784 74588 830196 0 6436 44708 -/+ buffers/cache: 23444 881340 Swap: 0 0 0 has anyone else gotten that card to work under linux ? thanks ! |

I suspect the problem was introduced with the update from 1.0-8776 to 1.0-9746, rather than with the graphics card upgrade. More specifically, I suspect the wrong libnvidia-tls.so library was installed (or is being picked up); how did you install the driver, using the .run installer or `emerge`? The amount of memory available to the GPU as reported by the X driver includes system memory on TurboCache GPUs.

hi there,
i use the same graka. its an MSI NX7100GS. this card works fine, but Xorg cant find the right device?? if i do lspci, my system only find this: 05:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Unknown device 016a (rev a1) if i read the device lost to configure it in the xorg.conf file, i dont find anything to configure it. there is no board type. my system is gentoo and i uses the x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-1.0.9746 |

Please generate and attach an nvidia-bug-report.log while this problem is present.

I'm afraid that I don't see any problems in your bug report. X is running. What is the problem you're experiencing and how can it be reproduced?
