Default Redhat Linux 9 vertical refresh out of range

When switching from init 5 to init 3 (normally on shutdown), my monitor displays an out of range error for vertical refresh. The monitor is being driven at 188, while my maximum is 160.

I am using the following:

Redhat Linux 9 2.4.20-9
NVidia driver Linux-x86-1.0-4363

video card - Dell 8200 built-in
GeForce4 MX 420 64 MB

content of proc file:

Model: GeForce4 MX 420
IRQ: 3
Video BIOS:
Card Type: AGP

CPU Intel P4 2.0 GHz 512 Kb cache.

I am including the log file and config.

Known bug - I don't have a workaround for you right now.

Thanks for the reply Andy.

I'll just turn the monitor off during shutdown - works for me.
