Default ASUS N6200 with 9746 8Bit corrupt video

i have solaris 10 11/06 on x86 32Bit Intel. An Asus N6200/TD/128M5/ASP/A Video Card built in with two Dell FP1907 connected (1 dvi, 1 VGA).
Running x in twinmode 1280x1280 with backingstore enabled at 8 Bit colordepth strugles up graphics completley, when my application which uses backingstore is started.
16 and 24 bit is fine, but is not supported by the application due to xpm2 graphocs format.
So i need a fix for that if possible.
