I have an AGP BFG Geforce 6200 256MB
openSUSE 10.2 I turned off fast writes and SBA in the BIOS cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/card Fast Writes: Supported SBA: Supported AGP Rates: 8x 4x Registers: 0xff000e1b:0x1f004302 cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/host-bridge Host Bridge: PCI device 10de:00d1 Fast Writes: Not Supported SBA: Not Supported AGP Rates: 8x 4x Registers: 0x1f00400b:0x00000302 cat /proc/driver/nvidia/agp/status Status: Enabled Driver: AGPGART AGP Rate: 8x Fast Writes: Disabled SBA: Enabled Why the heck does it still enable the SBA ahhhhh! Are there options i can drop into my xorg.conf to enable and disable those? TIA -Cameron

Check your module config (/etc/modules.d/nvidia on my machine, path may vary for you). Look for a line with "NVreg_EnableAGPSBA=1" and change the 1 to a 0.

The SBA bit can't be disabled in AGP 3.x mode.
