Ubuntu Edgy Eft (6.10)

Obviously that was with the open source X driver, not the nvidia one.

No problem. If you need a hand with beryl give me a bell. It was easier than getting nvidia drivers to work though.

I've now got mythtv loading on one desktop, my music player on another, and am trying to get my remote control to switch between them. Nearly there...

Yes it's fine. Better than with fedora actually - with that mythtv had a bizarre problem where the video would stutter when started. No such problem with ubuntu. Marvellous. I'm now a convert

Is it possible for those of you to post the text that is in your xorg.conf file? I followed the steps here and was unsuccessful using Mepis 6.0. After I run the x config and reboot my screen flakes out or it looks like when the screen melts at a movie theatre when the cellophane burns from the middle out. Thanks for any help!
