Default PS3 Tips and Tricks

I figured I could start a thread that might be useful to any ps3 users. If you have any tips or cool things you found out please post them.

Here is what got me thinking about it, I just finally figured out how to play music and do other things at the same time. If you start playing a song, you can hit the PS button and it will bring you back to the main menu. Then you can fire up the web browser, and surf the web. (I'm on my ps3 right now.) I basically found it out by accident, but I don't think it is documented anywhere that this is how you can do that.

Not sure what kind of tricks are out there, everything in the OS seems to be pretty "in your face" except for the one you already mentioned, the PS button.

But If I think of anything, I'll post it here.

This one is more of a PS3/blu-ray tip but on Sony discs you can hit menu, 7669 and hit enter to find an easter egg (i.e. a test screen/pattern). Found that at avsforums the other day while looking for something else. I've tried it on Resident Evil and it worked.

Cool OWA, I'll have to try that. I just kinda thought of something a lot of people were asking about around launch.

To avoid the boot to game startup when you have a disc in the ps3, just make a new user. That way you wont have to press a button to stop the auto boot. To make it even more useful, have that 2nd user as a hong kong/japanese account.

Oh so thats why my game doesnt autoboot anymore. I created a new user and then it would always prompt me to log in.

I used this guide and it worked fine. I still don't understand why the Casino Royale trailer is on the JP but not US store....it's in English!
