Still no native quad-cores on the horizon.

Oh heck yea.. hadn't heard that. I just hope they make better use of it this time around. I didn't really see much of a benefit on my P4 Northwood HT that I had before.

I read it last week, and was very disappointed to learn that the first Penryn quads will be two dual cores in package again. When the hell are we gonna native quads?

So NM = the size right ? If so thats so tiny, I remember installing my C2D and was amazed on how small it was.

Sort of - nm in this circumstance is size of the process. So having a smaller size in nm will mean more transistors in the same amount of space. Alternately, Intel can use the same amount of transistors (unlikely), any just shrink the die. This isn't something you'll see though, as as this is still a Socket 775 chip, and there's a heatspreader over the die, it'll basically look exactly the same as a core 2 chip does at the moment,

Ridiculous DOES not have an 'e' in it. It comes from "ridicule" and has less than nothing to do with the colour red.

If you read DailyTech they state the HT part is a mis print on the road maps. There are at the moment no plans for HT Quad Cores. Sorry guys, would have been really cool.
